After breakfast around 8.30 a.m – journey by road will start for Agra (220 kms / 4 hours drive). On arrival in Agra , check in to the hotel.
Afternoon – proceed for the sightseeing tour of the city visiting one of the Seven Wonders of the World Taj Mahal with its romantic glory and architectural marvel. This beautifully constructed monument is considered as most symmetrically designed structure. Taj Great Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built Taj Mahal in 1652 for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took 22 years to create this jewel. Later visit Agra Fort on the bank of river Yamuna. Four successive Mughal rulers has added on to make this massive Fort with their distinctive different style of architecture.
Evening free for shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Agra – Gwalior
After early breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Agra Cant. Railway station to board Shatabdi Express train departing at 8 a.m. Arrive Gwalior at 09.15 a.m. Meet at Gwalior railway station and transfer to the hotel.
Afternoon - proceed for city tour visiting Gwalior Fort – a steep road wind upwards to the fort, flanked by statues of Jain Tirthankaras, carved in to the rock face. The magnificent outer walls of the fort still stand two miles in length and 35 feet high, bearing witness to its reputation for being one of the most invincible forts of India . Within the fort you visit
various palaces, pavilions and temples built during 14 th & 15 th century by Scindia Dynesty. Also visit Jivaji Rao Scindia Museum .
Evening – leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Gwalior – Orcha – Khajuraho
After breakfast drive to Khajuraho, en-route visiting Temples of Orcha – a series of Medieval Hindu Temples. Orcha was once the capital of one of the largest and most powerful Kingdom of Central India .
Break for a lunch at Orcha Resort. Later drive to Khajuraho (240 kms / 6 hours drive). On arrival, check in to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Khajuraho – Varanasi
After breakfast visit the famous Khajuraho Temples of Chandela Dynasty. These cluster of temples depicts the human passions – famous for their erotic carvings built in the 10 th & 11 th century A.D. Out of 85 original temples, 22 still survive – a joyful ode to life, depicting some of the most exquisite specimens of Hindu architecture and sculpture. The temple cluster is divided on the basis of two periods popularly known as Western style and Eastern style.
Afternoon - transfer to airport to board the flight 9W 724 leaving at 1.35 p.m. Arrive in Varanasi at 2.15 p.m. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Evening – leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 06: Varanasi
Varanasi is the oldest living city in India and one of the world’s most ancient. For Hindus this is the holiest placeon earth. Situated on the bank of river Ganges it has numbers of holy center, temples and Ghats – the embankment with flowing stairs.
Early morning before sunrise, take a boat ride on river Ganges – the most fascinating aspect of Varanasi . Watch thousands of worshippers in obeisance before the sun god at the time of sunrise and taking holy dip in the river.
Return to hotel for breakfast. Later in the morning proceed for city sightseeing tour visiting Durga Mata temple, Kashiviswanath temple, Tulsi Manas temple and renowned Benaras Hindu University campus.
fternoon – excursion to Sarnath, located 12 kms from Varanasi . – the holy shrine of the Buddhist. Here Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after he gained enlightenment
Day 07: Varanasi – Kathmandu
Breakfast in the hotel. Morning – free for own activities. Afternoon – transfer to the airport for flight IC 752 at 12.40 p.m to Kathmandu ( as per present schedule this flight operates thrice a week Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday). Arrive Kathmandu at 1.50 p.m. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Afternoon – sightseeing tour of the city earlier known as Kantipur, the capital of Kingdom of Nepal . During your sightseeing visit the temple of living goddess, who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Also visit Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace , the ancient palace of Nepalese Royalty . Finally visit 2000 years old Buddhist stupa of Swayambhunath
Evening – if you wish can try your luck at Casino. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Kathmandu
Breakfast in the hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of Patan also known as Lalitpur, is the city of fine arts enclosed within 4 stupas, said to be built in 3 rd century A.D by Emperor Ashoka. The other interesting Aspect of this place is a visit to Tibetan Refugee Camp and the Handicraft center, where one can see the hand weaving of Tibetan carpet and moulding of metal statue.
Day 09: Kathmandu
Afternoon – visit Bodhnath is famous for one of the biggest stupa in the world of its kind. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behaviors. Continue your sightseeing to Bhadgaon also known as Bhaktapur – meaning city of devotees. This place is the home of medieval art and architecture was founded in the 9 th century A.D. In Bhadgaon visit Durbar Square with its array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows. Nyatapola Temple is another attractive structure in the area in the best example of Pagoda style.
Evening – free for shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Kathmandu – Delhi
Breakfast in the hotel. Morning – free. Afternoon - transfer to the airport for flight IC 814 at 14.20 p.m to Delhi . Arrive Delhi at 3.40 p.m. Meet at the airport and transfer to a transit hotel for evening stay.
Day 11: Leave Delhi
Early morning transfer the Delhi International airport for flight back home.
