ITINERARY6A : THE ETHNIC RAJASTHAN TOUR WITH EXTENSION TO KERALA & LAKSHYA DWEEP
10 NIGHTS / 11 DAYS TOUR OF
MUMBAI– COCHIN– BACKWATER –KUMARKOM - COCHIN - BANGARAM ISLAND - COCHIN - MUMBAI

 

 

Day 01 - Mumbai

Breakfast in the hotel. Later transfer to the airport for early flight 9W 3401 at 8.50 a.m to Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai at 10.35 a.m. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Mumbai is the commercial capital of India a melting pot of cultures, commercial activities a true cosmopolitan cocktail of race and colour. The city is the gigantic metropolis with towering skyscrapers, historic bunglow and one of the most efficient and effective suburban transport system.

Afternoon – sightseeing tour of the city visiting gateway of India , Prince of Wales Museum, Hanging Garden , Crowford Market and driving past Marine Drive , which turns to Queen’s neckless after the dark.

Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Mumbai - Cochin

 

Breakfast in the hotel and relax. Afternoon – transfer to the airport for flight 9W 405 at 1 p.m to Cochin . Arrive Cochin at 2.45 p.m. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Evening – witness a Kathakali dance show . Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Cochin - Backwater

Breakfast in the hotel. Later drive up to Vaikom Jetty to board the deluxe Rice Boat. These are beautifully decorated and well furnished houseboats for the tourists to gain an unique experience of sailing through the backwaters of Kerala. Gently cruise through the Canals and back waters with lush green subtropical countryside of Kerala. Enjoy your sailing relaxing on the boat. Overnight - on board in the houseboat.

Day 04: Backwater - Kumarkom

Breakfast in the houseboat. Later disembark at Kumarkom Jetty and transfer to the hotel. Kumarkom is a beautiful place with lake, backwater and plenty of flora and fauna in peaceful surroundings. Nearby there is a natural bird sanctuary. Just relax and rejuvenate your body in the nature. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Kumarkom - Cochin

Breakfast in the hotel. Morning – visit the nearby bird sanctuary. Afternoon – drive back to Cochin for overnight stay. On arrival, check in to the hotel.

 Day 06: Cochin - Agatti - Bangaram Island

Breakfast in the hotel. Later - transfer to the airport for flight IC 502 at 9.15 a.m to Agatti Island at Lakshadeep. Arrive Agatti at 10.50 a.m. Meet at the airport and transfer to Bangaram either by boat or helicopter. Check in to the hotel Bangaram Island Resort.

The Lakshadweep Islands are a geographical extension of Maldive Island . Out of 36 islands Bangaram is the gem. This island offers every thing you imagine to Tropical Island . Everything about the Island is natural and simple. The resort is right on the beach. Relaxed and enjoy sun bathing on the beach for next two days or if you are adventurous go for scuba diving or snorkeling.

Day 07: Bangaram Island

On your own. Stay overnight at the resort.

Day 08: Bangaram Island

On your own. Stay overnight at the resort.

Day 09: Bangaram - Agatti - Cochin

Morning - transfer to Aggati airport for flight IC 501 at 11.15 a.m to Cochin (this flight operates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday). On arrival in Cochin , transfer to the hotel

Afternoon – proceed for the sightseeing tour of the city. Cochin is one of the finest natural harbour on the Arabian Sea Coast . This city has been a port of call for foreign traders from early times. Its cosmopolitan character is reflected in the buildings and structure representing different regions of the world. Today it is the commercial capital of Kerala.

uring the sightseeing visit Jewish Synagogue built in 1568 AD, which is decorated with copper plates bearing the Hebrew script and hand painted Chinese tiles, The ancient Church at Malayathur is dedicated to St. Thomas . Also visit St. Francis Church in the Fort, built originally by the Portuguese in 1510 AD and Mattan Cherry Palace built by the Portuguese and presented to the king of Cochin in 1555 AD. Chinese fishing nets at the entrance of the harbor along the backwaters are a fascinating sight. These nets that line the sea front exhibit a mechanical method of catching fish, introduced by the Chinese traders to the coast of Malabar . Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Cochin - Delhi

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight IC 166 at 10.30 a.m to Delhi . Arrive Delhi at 2.55 p.m. Meet at the airport and transfer to a transit hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11: Delhi - Moscow
